Scientific interests : I am interested in understanding consciousness and conscious perception: What distinguishes conscious and unconscious modes of processing ? What are the neural mechanisms that are specific of conscious processing ? What is the role of attention in these mechanisms ? What are the temporal dynamics of conscious access ? in other words, what is the temporal structure of our conscious stream ? I tackle these questions with healthy adults, and also in a population of patients with disorders of consciousness (vegetative and minimally conscious state) with a view to improve our understanding of these affections and thus help diagnosing and improving the patients' state.
