Développement des capacités d'orientation visuelle chez le bébé: Modèles neuropsychologiques.

Even newborns do not visually explore their environment at random, and the direction of gaze gives information about their attention. The fact is basic to many researches on infants' cognitive development. The present review summarizes various approaches to attention in infants, and stresses the importance of a neuropsychological perspective. Models are described which consider how oculomotor activity and visual attention are coupled during the first year of life.
