A timing puzzle

Responds to 20 commentaries on the work by S. de Schonen and E. Mathivet (see record 1989-36031-001) concerning the development of hemispheric specialization in face recognition during infancy. Areas of further exploration include relative maturation rates, specialization for language processing, high vs low spatial frequencies, face vs stimulus processing, faces vs objects (specialization and segregation), functional subsystems, and adaptive functions.
